Exploring the limits of film making, “A Boy and His Atom”!

Using a technique called Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM), IBM produced a stop motion film using carbon monoxide molecule. The carbon and oxygen are stacked on top of each other, so what you see are ‘single’ atoms (you can see them well enough to count them!)!
